Share the modern world with me

No one can be in a bad mood when they're listening to Jonathan Richman. So today that's what we're listening too! He was the founding member of the Modern Lovers. Arguably a band that helped to create punk music. They started making music in the 70's and Jonathan still records and tours solo nowadays. This is a guy that does not take himself seriously and his music shines because of that. His goofy and simplistic songs are sincere and fun. Let's start with something from the Modern Lovers first album. This one's called Modern World

This next one, Everday Clothes is a good song but it's a great example of how he can make you smile.

The Neighbors is off of his album 'Jonathan Goes Country' which has an amazing album cover! ...Just a good song.

This one is called Lydia and it was realeased by Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers; which was a new version of the band. They're not as a raw and maybe a bit more silly but still great music nonetheless.

and I saved one of my personal favorites for last. Let Her Go into the Darkness is a great song with fun lyrics and cool music. The Farrelly Brothers used this song in "There's Something about Mary" so it may sound familiar. Here's a great live performance from the Conan show in the early/mid 90's.
